Overview
Red Headed Hostess is a faith-based digital study platform used by thousands of families worldwide. I redesigned the mobile experience at Pando Development, transforming it from a basic utility tool into an engaging, consumer-grade app.
The Challenge
The existing app felt outdated and utilitarian. Users struggled with navigation, content discovery was poor, and the experience didn't match the quality of the educational content itself. We needed to modernize the platform while respecting the existing user base.
My Role
As Product Designer, I led the end-to-end redesign of the mobile app experience, working closely with developers and stakeholders.
Process
I analyzed user feedback and support tickets to identify pain points, mapped existing user flows and identified drop-off points, and conducted competitive analysis of leading EdTech mobile apps. I then developed a scalable design system with interactive prototypes, strategically prioritizing features based on user research, technical feasibility, and business impact.
Impact
Transformed the app from a utility tool to a consumer-grade experience. Reduced content deployment time for non-technical admins. Improved content discoverability and user engagement.
